Ship benefits on the Paturia-Daulatdia course in the Padma Stream remained stopped from early Thursday because of thick mist, reports UNB.
The specialists of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Organization (BIWTC) kept the ship administrations and utilizing of the water vessels suspended on the course from 3:00 am because of obscured permeability for thick mist, said administrator of BIWTC Salah Uddin.
Four ships stayed still amidst the Padma on account of the suspension, he said.
Five ships with a decent number of vehicles and travellers on board lay secured at Paturia and six ships at Daulatdia.
Travelers endured as more than 700 vehicles must be continued tending to the two sides of the waterway for an intersection, said Abu Abdullah, partner administrator of BIWTC at Daulatdia.
Ship benefits on the critical course will continue once the permeability returns, he included.
Additionally, ship benefits on the Shimulia-Kathalbari course in the Padma Waterway had stayed upset for three and a half hours since 5:00 am because of thick haze.
Khandaker Khaled, collaborator general chief (AGM) of BIWTC at Shimulia, said for ship benefit interruption, nearly 150 vehicles stayed holding up at Kathalbari ghat and 250 more vehicles at Shimulia sides of the stream for an intersection.
